Overview: In the Renaissance era during the fourteenth through sixteenth century in Western Europe. The definition of the French word Renaissance means "Re-birth". During the Renaissance era artists such a painters, architects , and sculptors received their inspiration from classical Greek and Roman artists

Donatello and Michelangelo Buonarroti liked natural poses more like human muscles rather than rigid poses found in the medieval time

-later he started construction for the Dome which was named “The Cathedral of Florence” -People of Florence saw the Dome as a symbol of the city’s Wealth and its leadership in artistic and cultural affairs

Humanists referred to scholars interested in humanities-literature, history, and Moral Philosophy
Some Humanists worked to translate the New Testament and other importants Christian writings
A humanist Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam (1466-1536) Published the first edition of the Greek New Testament along with a Latin Translation and many annotations(1516)
A different Humanist received inspiration from intense spirituality and high moral standards or early Christianity and promoted values of their own society
A humanist such a Florentine Francesco Petrarca had traveled through Europe to find Manuscripts of classical works
In libraries of Italy,Switzerland, and southern France, the humanists found many Latin writing that medieval scholars had overlooked
In the 15th century the Italian Humanists became familiar with the Byzantine Scholars and had made the Classical greek and Latin works available to the scholars
