Symptoms of Bubonic PlagueThere were many symptoms of the Bubonic plague:

Analysis #1The Bubonic plague was one of the most devastating epidemics that occurred in the history of mankind. Wiping out one fifth of the total population, this epidemic had a tremendous effect on the economy of China, western and eastern Europe, and Africa. As there was an enormous decline in the population in these regions. Although during the Bubonic plague there were many effects on the economy of all the regions. But this decline in population helped the poor build a higher social level or status. Since there are less people that means that there is more food to go around, more land for the surviving farmers, and this led to higher wages. With more food the poor and the survivors are living healthier lives and with more wages people can grow socially, economically, and improve their status.

Analysis #2
Looking at the graph above we can see that during the summer the Plague was much more deadly than in the winter. Knowing this we can say that the plague is not as present in the winter as it is in the summer. This would make sense as the plague was carried by rats and they mostly come out in late spring, summer, and early autumn. This also means that the plague did not carry to cold places such as Scandinavia.

My objective fits with theme five, which is the development and transformation of social structures. There was much unrest in social structures during the plague since the workers did not have the rights they had or deserved. But as I described in my analysis the social structure of the surviving people would have grew as there was more food for them due to the decrease in the population, and it also meant that the survivors would get more land and higher wages. This increased the social structure of people all around Europe and Asia.

I can connect the Bubonic plague with the disastrous epidemic break-down in Rome and China during the Classical era. This epidemic was also spread by merchants through trade routes especially the Silk Road. There was a huge decline in the population and trade in the two regions, just like there is during the Bubonic plague.
